About Me
My name is Scott Tenefrancia. I'm a multimedia journalist with experience in photo, video, data, and design. I was recently managing editor of digital at the Indiana Daily Student, Indiana University's independent student newspaper. My journalistic background gives me many advantages in the field of photography, such as my need to tell the story with a photo. Too often do I find that lead photos arent the storytelling element they need to be.
I've also had a lot of success in a management position. Such that multimedia productivity skyrocketed during my semester in the position. In fact, we saw numbers higher than we'd ever seen before for web at the paper. One of our stories titled The Little Sister, saw 30,000 views in the first week. This is due to how fantastic of a story it is, given that it won Article of the year at the Hearst Journalism Awards, but also the constant promotion of multimedia content out of the Indiana Daily Student.
Multimedia is the future of journalism, let's make sure it contributes to good reporting and creates an environment of easy to observe, intelligent storytelling.
